Teaching is a passion of mine and something I really enjoy.

Working with young people is rewarding, exciting and fulfilling.

I'm currently a part time lecturer at Brunel University as well as working for NCS as a workshop facilitator. I also teach drum kit and percussion in the following schools - Queen's Gate School, Slough and Eton School,  Kingston Grammar School, Kensington Prep School, Wexham Secondary School and Langley Grammar School. To accompany teaching in schools I teach drum kit privately in south west London but spaces are limited.

Over the past few years I have been giving motivational presentations on 'life as a Musician' and 'Life after University'. These are aimed at sixth form music students and Music undergraduates. The presentations give a reality check on life as a working Musician as well as advice on networking, practice techniques, resilience and how to keep your focus.

I believe that to gain the best from your students learning should be fun and relevant to the pupil. It is also important to incorporate challenges such as public performances and exams which can give the student an enormous confidence boost.

Once a year I organise a concert for my drum kit students to give them an opportunity to perform, I also encourage them to attend drumming events such as Master classes and Drum shows. Below are photos from a Mike Dolbear master class I organised for my students and some from a Mark Schulman master class which I attended with some of my students.
